Assignment number 7 was creating an audio recording using Garage Band. We chose a poem or song lyrics and recorded ourselves reciting it. After that we edited the sound to create our final mp3.
On the recording side I learned:
-the most effective way of recording sound
-speaking slowly and clearly
-about different microphones, and how to use them with our computers.
On the editing side I learned:
- how to edit out unneeded clips of sound
-add background sound
-adjust the pitch
-how to fade sound in and out
This was my favorite assignment to do. I found it was easiest for me to be the most creative.
For my audio recording, I chose to recite the lyrics of Ripple by the Grateful Dead
